Auckland.—l3th October last, for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £3, the property of Patricia Vickerman, 27 Ashton Road, Mount Eden, Harold Cassidy (name probably fictitious), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 4 in., labourer, Maori, strong build, dark complexion and hair; wearing working clothes. The bicycle was stolen from a garage at above address, and on 2nd November last it was recovered from a pawnbroker in Victoria Street with whom it had been pledged for £2 on 14th October last by the man described. On 19th October last lie sold his pawn-ticket to the dealer for 7s. 6d. No warrant.
