Manunui. — Since the 2nd December last, John McLeod, ago seventy-one, height 6 ft., farmer, native of Scotland, strong build, dark complexion, grey hair going bald, brown eyes, dark moustache, no teeth, portion of right forefinger missing ; wearing shabby fawn sports coat, denim trousers, pink woollen singlet, and underpants, heavy boots with hobnails, and old felt hat. He has been suffering from mental depression, and fears are entertained for his safety.

Masterton. —Since the 23rd January last, Hugh John Alexander Wilson, age thirty-two, height 6 ft. 1 in., stoker, native of New Zealand, medium build, wavy brown hair with light patch on left side at back, eagle on right arm ; wearing dark trousers, blue shirt with open neck, felt hat, and boots with hobnails. He left Masterton on above date to go deer-stalking for a fortnight, and on 14th ultimo his camping-gear was found on Mitre Peak, Tararua Ranges. Fears are entertained for his safety.

Wellington South. —Since the 15th instant, Albert Thawley, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., insuranceproperty manager, native of New Zealand, slight build, sallow complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, thin face; wearing a pair of grey slacks, blue striped pyjama coat, leather slippers, and probably glasses ; uses walking stick.
