PERSONS WANTED

Auckland. —On or about 16th August, 1943, on warrant for failing to notify his change of address (National Service Emergency Regulations), Patrick William Mollis Comber, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 6Jin., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, prominent nose; suffers from chronic asthma for which he seeks treatment at hospitals. Auckland. — Thomas William James, unlawfully converting motor-car (see Police Gazette, 1944, page 773): When he was seen in New Plymouth about the beginning of last month his hair had been dyed black and he had a thin moustache. New Plymouth. 2lst August last, for indecently assaulting Marie Lorraine" Upshall, age nine, 68 Pendarves Street, Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 6 ft., probably native of New Zealand, slight build, tanned complexion, wavy light-brown hair, long pointed nose ; neatly dressed in a blue overcoat with brown checks or grey overcoat, black shoes, white scarf (no hat). At about 4 p.m. on above date while complainant was playing with other children near Pukekura Park the man described induced her to leave them and accompany him into the park where he committed the offence. No warrant.

Hastings. —l6th October last, on warrant for failing to maintain his five children, Tollemache Road, Stanley William James, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 7 in., taxi-driver, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, black hair, brown eves, thick lips, portion of right forefinger bent.
