CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
To the Officers and Men of the New Zealand Police Force On behalf of the Prime Minister and myself I desire to convey to you all, and to your wives and families, our best wishes for a happy Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year. I also wish to express our grateful appreciation of the excellent service rendered by all ranks during the past year and to thank them for their loyal co-operation with the Department. > , I trust that the coming year will bring victory to the cause of the Allied Nations and see the establishment of a just and lasting peace.
