Christchurch. 2oth August last, for assaulting s Noala Bench, 17 Dudley Street, Addington, Man (name unknown), age about nineteen, height about 5 ft. 9 in., strong build, dark hair. At about 8.45 p.m. on above date, he knocked complainant from her bicycle at the intersection of Hagley Avenue and St. Asaph Street, and then caught hold of her by the shoulders and threw her violently to the road, striking her head and causing severe injuries. He was accompanied by a shorter man, who was wearing a navy-blue overcoat, light-coloured suit (no hat.) Complaints of similar offences have been received in some of which the youth concerned was riding a bicycle. No warrant.
