Whang arei. — February last, on warrant for failing to report for service with the armed forces when notified so to do, Hector James McDonald, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 244, and Photographs, 1929, page 30.

Auckland.27th ultimo, on United States of America naval warrant, for being absent from his ship without leave, James Blaine Masters, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 8 in., seaman, native of United States of America, slight build, ruddy complexion, brown hair and eyes, birth-mark and mole on neck. Rotorua. —26th January last, on warrant for a breach of his probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), Keith Alexander Bell, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 138. He has failed to report to a Probation Officer, and lias failed to make restitution, &//o/l>7.

Napier. — George Henry Hellyer’s shop broken into (see Police Gazette, 1943, page 231): It has now been established that finger-prints found on bottles in the shop are identical with those of Archibald Andrew Charles Scott, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 759, and Photographs, 1934, page 14, and a warrant charging him with this offence was issued on the 20th instant. . , tflSVTpA&Psfi/s ’.s-afcj'y

Petone. 9th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Beatrice Orr, 49 York Street, Moera, and child, Kenneth Louis William Orr. He is identical with Kenneth Louis Orr, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, pages 281 and 820. //?■.£. 4^-L

Wellington. —l3th instant, that he be located, James Henry Lawson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 664, and 1943, page 176, and Photographs, 1942, page 9. His probationary license has been cancelled, and his arrest and return to the nearest Borstal Institution is desired.

Dunedin.— For escaping from Seacliff Mental Hospital on the 3rd ultimo, Andrew Dasler, age sixty, height 5 ft. 11l in., labourer, stout build, fair complexion, light-brown hair turning grey, small moustache ; wearing a light-brown suit, light-brown hat, black boots, and a shirt with “ D ” on it.
