UNCLAIMED PROPERTY.
Auckland. —The property described below was found in
possession of Alfred Thomas Neckelson, referred to in Police Gazette, 194:?” page 958, who has been convicted of stealing it, but the owners have not been found : A double-breasted two-piece light-grey suit with white and blue . stripes, “ Minster on tag at neck and on inside pocket, fit man about 5 ft. 9 in. ; a brown leather suit-case, 18 in. by 12 in. by 6 in., “ M.E.” in gilt-coloured letters on outside, “ 15 ” over “ 18 ” below handle, stamped “ Warranted Bullockhide a tan leather suit-case, 20 in. by 12 in. by 6 in., “ 20 ” over “ 423 ” and grease-stains on outside ; three brown leather wallets, fold-over type ; a tortoise-shell and silver cigarettecase to hold ten cigarettes; a green bakelite cigarette-case to hold ten cigarettes, ten springs in bottom which automatically discharge cigarettes when case is opened ; a lightbrown polished wooden cigarette-case to hold seven cigarettes, “M. A. Ellwinck and Zoon, Kipstraat 35, Rotterdam (Holland) ”in red on inside; a mottled brown and green bakelite torch, 4 in. long ; a metal powder-compact, 2 in. by 2 in., bottom painted black, painting of man and woman on front a ladies’ chromium four-jewel Novoris wristlet watch, luminous dial, chromium wrist-band; a ladies’ gold-plated dress ring, set with pearls and emeralds (some missing) a ladies’ 18 ct. gold dress ring, set with three imitation garnets ; and a gentlemen’s 14 ct. gold large dress ring, originally set with a large stone but which is now missing.
