Auckland. —9th March last, on military warrant for being absent from Ohaeawai Camp without leave, John Thomas Mathews, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 6f in., labourer, Maori, medium build, copper complexion, dark hair, blue eyes.
Auckland. 26th ultimo, on military warrant for deserting from Cornwall Park Camp, Edward Walter Rix, age twentyseven, height 5 ft. 4 in., butcher and window-cleaner, medium build, fair complexion, black hair, grey eyes. A / / ~ - ~
Auckland. —2lst ultimo, on military warrant for escaping from custody, Clifford Vernon Hutton, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 475. While being transferred from Auckland Prison to Trentham Camp and whilst on the train he escaped from his military escort at Erankton Junction.
Wellington.— ultimo, on military warrant for escaping from custody in Fort Dorset Camp, Theo Malcolm Underwood, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 9Jin., farm hand, native of New Zealand, good build, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes. Z/*/ 4,
