PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. Between the 23rd and 25th August last, from a tool-shed in St. Mary’s Bay, the property of SHIPBUILDERS LTD., Poore Street, Freeman’s Bay, an aluminium Wolf electric-drill of pistol type, about 12 in. long, serial No. 62010 and “ N.W. 4.C.” on it, about 13 ft. of flex attached ; value, £l9 19s. Identifiable.

Auckland.— Between the 17th and 19th August last, from a motor-car in Albert Street or Mount Albert Road, the property of JOHN HOOD ALEXANDER, 12 Ngauruhoe Street, Mount Eden, ft black folding Agfa camera, takes 120 film, f. 6-3 lens, clockwork release on shutter, contained in a chocolate-box together with two filters and a portrait attachment; a Ben Wade briar pipe, with “ J.H.A.” on stem; and a tin of Tasman tobacco; total value, £ll 2s. Identifiable except tobacco.

Hamilton. —19th ultimo, from the shop of H. B. HILL, LTD., jewellers, 73 Victoria Street, a gentlemen’s chromium round 15-jewel open-face Rolex dress watch; and a gentlemen’s rolled-gold square 15-jewel Leonidas dress watch with gold-coloured dial; total value, £l6 ss. Identifiable.

Rotorua. About the 26th July last, from the military camp at Arawa Park, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), ten grey Army blankets with red stripe down centre, broad arrow and “ N.Z.D.” in white paint on one corner; total value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Gordon Patrick McKenna, referred to in Police Gazette, 1941, page 795, and Photographs, 1939, page 81. Suspect was undergoing training, but on above date he broke out of camp, and shortly after endeavoured to sell some blankets to a restaurateur »/'/»!. +H&&V YM - National Park.— During, the night of 4th instant, from a room in the Chateau Tongariro, the property of GEORGE HAMISH WILSON, Bulls, a gentlemen’s silver open-face Benson watch, No. 1506132, leather strap with gold buckle attached ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Trentham. Between the 11th June last and 21st July, from a store in the military camp, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a prismatic compass, No. 90071, in brown leather case with shoulderstrap ; and a prismatic compass, No. 112463; total value, £5 16s, 9d, Identifiable.

Wellington. Between the 6th and Bth ultimo, irom a motor-car at the De Luxe Service-station, Wakefield Street, the property of FRANK LESLIE THOMAS, 6 Rodrigo Road, a four-valve Bosch motor-car radio in fawn case about 10 in. by 10 in. by 5 in., with two chromium-plated bars across speaker-box ; value, £27. Royal Enfield motor-cycle, painted green with black mudguards and chromium facings, chassis No. 10763, engine No. 46686, registration No. 2,876; value, £4O. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —l4th ultimo, the property of GALE MATIU, Leith House, George Street, a black marocain full-length frock with coloured flowers, long sleeves; a green velvet evening coatee with high rucked collar, long sleeves ; a green underskirt of stockinette material; a pair of silver-coloured shoes of dyed grass with gold-coloured heels and straps, size 2£; and a string of graduated amber beads; total value, £24 12s. 6d. Identifiable except beads.
