Auckland. — 15th July last, on warrant to apprehend for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, John William Lamb, age forty-six, height 5 ft. 9| in., slight build, dark hair, left knee and instep injured. Auckland. — July last, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for one month in default of paying £9 12s. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his child, Thomas Joseph Wilson, age fifty-four, height 5 ft. 9 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes, has dark moustache. He may be released on payment of £5. The warrant is not to be executed if he is a member of the armed forces within the meaning of the Arrest (Armed Forces) Emergency Regulations 1940. jveuM///£>/ Auckland. —29th ultimo, that he may be interviewed regarding his having failed to enrol in the First Division of the General Reserve, Eugene Anthony Turner, alias Eugene Edgar Turner, age twenty-seven, clerk, native of New Zealand. Johns on ville. For escaping from Porirua Mental Hospital on the 24th July last, Cyril Potter, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 644, and Photographs, page 91. He is slightly round shouldered, is inclined to stoop, and holds his head forward. Auckland. —26th ultimo, on warrant to apprehend for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Una Doris Bigg-Wither, 68 Vauxhall Road, Devonport, John Allsyne Bigg-Wither, age fortythree, height 6 ft., farmer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair turning grey, blue-grey eyes, lower lip thicker than upper lip; usually well dressed in a grey suit; frequents racecourses. Arrears to 22nd ultimo, £55 7s. 6d. When arrested he is to be brought before the nearest Court presided over by a Magistrate. He' is in possession of a Willys Knight fivc-seater motor-car, registration No. 73,421, which is registered in the name Herbert Bruce Thomas, and he is accompanied by his son, age twelve, and a young Maori woman named Raroa. • . . .

Fox (name probably fictitious), age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, dark ruddy complexion, dark hair, large protruding eyes; dressed in an air-force blue overcoat and brown felt hat. Accused obtained nine Argus rectifier bulbs, value £l9 Is. 2d., from Arnold and Wright, agents, Taranaki Street, by falsely representing that they were for W. J. Wilson, 136 Lambton Quay. He may be identical with R. Gowley, referred to in following paragraph. No warrant.

Wellington. —4th ultimo, for false pretences, R. Gowley (name probably fictitious), age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, dark ruddy complexion, greyish hair, prominent eyes; dressed in light-grey suit and lightblue felt hat. Accused obtained six charger bulbs, value £l4 os. 6d. from Turnbull and Jones, Ltd., electricians, Blair Street, by falsely representing that they were for G. W. Wilson, 136 Lambton Quay. He may be identical with T. Fox, referred to in preceding paragraph. No warrant.

Timarit. —21st ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for two months in default of paying £8 arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife and four children, James Alexander Mcßride, age fifty-four, height 5 ft. 8£ in., storeman and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, dark hair turning grey,* brown eyes, large nose, scar on, back of head and on right side of nose, right leg broken; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit with pin stripes, and may be using a walkingstick.
