SPECIAL NOTICES.
♦ Building destroyed by Fire. Waiouru. 12.35 am. on the 28th ultimo a fire was discovered in a building in the course of construction at Waiouru Military Camp. The building, which was valued at £8,500, was totally destroyed. Up to the present no information has been obtained that would provide a clue as to the origin of the fire. Should investigations reveal that the building was wilfully destroyed, the contractors, Messrs. Walpole and Patterson, Ltd., N. Cole, Ltd., and the Residential Construction Co., Ltd., offer to pay on a proportionate basis the sum of £IOO to the person supplying to the Police Department information which leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible. Any information considered likely to assist in discovering the cause of the fire is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Wanganui. (P. 40/1121.)
