PERSONS WANTED.

Kaitaia. —lßth ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, F. Russell (name probably fictitious), age about thirty-six, height about 5 ft. 7 in., salesman, strong build ; dressed in a grey worsted suit. Accused obtained an Apex motor-car battery, value £2 10s., from James Thomas Benjamin Taaffe, garage-proprietor, by falsely representing that he was a traveller for Mackay, Logan, and Co., and that he required ! the battery for his motor-car which had broken down. He is travelling in a green five-seater Essex sedan motor-car (Challenger model), in the back of which he usually carries several suit-cases, and he is selling suit-lengths, and probably drapery. His correct name is thought to be Lester, and he is accompanied by a small thin man.

Auckland. — l7th July last, that a summons may be served on him for negligently driving a motor-car in Greenlane Road, Thomas Henry Miller, age about twenty-live, height about 5 ft. 8 in., salesman, native of England, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes; well dressed. He signed on the ship “ Antiope ” on the 21st September last, and this vessel is now in England.

Auckland. 2oth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £2l arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife and two children, Frederick Gilbert Kinnaird, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and freezing-works hand, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, hazel eyes, scar on left side of forehead and on inside of right upper arm. Otahuhu. —l7th July last, that a summons for failing to carry a warrant of fitness in his motor-car, may be served on him, Percy Alderton, age forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and gardener, native of New Zealand, thin build, pale complexion, dark-brown hair going bald, blue eyes; dressed in a blue suit and grey felt hat; slovenly appearance.

Accused obtained the bicycle described below, value £4, from Samuel Dennison, 98 Sydney Street, by falsely representing that an order for £4 on the Odlin Timber Co., which he gave complainant in payment for the bicycle was genuine and that that amount was owing to him by the firm as wages.
