MISSING.
Takaka. Since the 23rd ultimo, Amandus Pettersson, age sixty-one, height 6 ft. 1| in., fisherman, native of Sweden, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair turning grey, sharp features, prominent cheek-bones, dark heavy moustache ; dressed in a dark suit, slate-coloured felt hat, and black shoes; slightly stooped; foreign accent; fond of drink. He was last seen in a dinghy rowing towards Tata Island. Later the dinghy was found capsized on the beach in the vicinity of where he was last seen.
