INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.

London (England). —Between the 21st January and 2nd February last Peter Flynn, in association with another man, stole £15,000 by means of a “ confidence trick ” (stocks and shares swindle). Inquiries in London have revealed that Flynn’s correct name may be Peter Collingwood, that he was born in, or may be known at, Perth, Western Australia, and that in November last he received in London a letter bearing the postmark “ Dargaville, New Zealand.” His description is as follows : Age about thirty-seven, height about 5 ft. 9 in., erect athletic build, bronze complexion, medium brown hair, blue or grey eyes, high forehead, straight nose, fairly large slightly receding chin with dimple, longish face, small clipped moustache (Ronald Colman type), believed to have a gold upper tooth, fond of billiards, very talkative and speaks with a slight Australian or New Zealand accent. Special efforts are to be made by members of the Force in this Dominion to obtain information that would assist to establish the identity of Flynn or Collingwood. (C.R. 39/106.)
