♦ Devonport. — William Henry Townsend, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Huntly police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 287.) Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). — John Frazer, deserting ship: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 181.)

Auckland. or Tom Kerslake, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1930, page 44) : He died at Auckland on the 25th ultimo.

Auckland. Cyril Crichton, default of maintenance Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 283.)

Auckland. — Bovey, inquired for: Clarence Nelson John Shaw, alias Bovey, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 206, and Photographs, 1930, page 59, has been interviewed by the Napier police and charged with unlawfully converting Lister’s motor-car. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 283.)

Auckland.— Cecil Walter Stanton, default of maintenance: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 283.)

Auckland. — Alexander Boyd, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 283.)

Thames. — S. Thomas, false pretences, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. He is identical with Stanley Arthur Thomas. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 850.)

— Thomas Booth, default of fine and costs, has paid, the amount to the Mount Roskill police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, pages 267 and 284.)

Whakatane. Man (name unknown), false pretences: S. Thomas, who is identical with Stanley Arthur Thomas, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 850, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 797.)

Opotiki. — Man (name unknown), false pretences: S. Thomas, who is identical with Stanley Arthur Thomas, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 815, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938,.page 816.)

Tikitiki. — Thomas, false pretences, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. He is identical with Stanley Arthur Thomas. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 99.)

Rotorua. — S. Thomas, alias Stanley Arthur Thomas, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, pages 797 and 815.)

Rotorua. — Raymond Percival Rouse, default of line and costs, has paid the amount to the Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 267.)

Hawera. — Alexander Harwood, absconding from State Institution, has been located by the New Plymouth police, and he has admitted forging his employer’s signature on the cheque. He is identical with Alec Coffy, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 175, and Photographs, page 28. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 218.)

Palmerston North. — S. Thomas, false pretences, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. He is identical with Stanley Arthur Thomas. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 150.)

Wellington.— Geoffrey O’Donoghue Smith, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1939, page 157): He was not photographed, and the words “Photo at Wellington, 7/2/39” are to be deleted from all copies of the Police Gazette.

Wellington. — Edward John Terry Andrews, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Blenheim police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 268.)

Nelson. — Richard Murray, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 232.)

Christchurch. — Timothy O’Donnell, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Reefton police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 284.)
