Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). —14th November last, from a suit-case on the ship “ Monterey,” the property of LUCY ELLEN MANTON, 66 Harbour View Road, Wellington, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with nine diamonds in a cluster ; value £130; and a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with seven or eight diamonds in a cluster with small ruby set in centre; value, £SO. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 19th ultimo, the shop of the FARMERS’ 'TRADING CO., Huntly, was broken into and the following stolen : Nine pairs of gentlemen’s Monarch shoes, sizes 8 and 6; about nine fibre suit-cases, about 3 ft. long, made by Collins, Whitaker, and Palmer, Ponsonby Road, Auckland; eleven white Luvisca shirts, sizes 2,3, and 4; about six blue and grey Defiance shirts ; one dozen Stafford collars, size 15, long peaks; two gentlemen’s pullovers with V necks and long sleeves ; six gentlemen’s plain Pyramid handkerchiefs; twenty-five pairs of gentlemen’s trousers, sizes 4 and 5, and probably some size 6, various colours, Apex, Mosgiel, or Farmers’ brands; about twelve pairs of gentlemen’s socks, patterned cashmere, mostly grey and black colours ; three or four gentlemen’s ties, various striped colours ; six pairs of gentlemen’s suspenders in boxes ; and £2 9s. lOd. in cash : total value, £7O 15s. 4d. Between the 7th and 10th November last, from the dwelling of EVERLINE HENRIETTA WHYMAN, 3 Clyde Street, Epsom, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a row of five diamonds in claw setting; and a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a cluster of rubies and diamonds in platinum setting in three rows, rubies are in form of a cross :' total value, £3O. Between the 19th and 21st November last, from the dwelling of JOHN WILLIAM PASCOE, 10 Warnock Road, Grey Lynn, a gentlemen’s gold keyless hunting watch, Roman numerals, repair No. 7015, and “ V.W.” on inside case, small brass chain with large oval links attached; a gentlemen’s gold heavy band ring, set with three rubies ; and Bs. in money : total value, £7 9s. Auckland. the 26th November last, the dwelling of REBECCA MAY ROGERS, 88 Campbell Road, Onehunga, was broken into and the following stolen: A ladies’ 18 ct. gold wristlet-watch, Arabic numerals, “ R.M.R.” and “ 9-1-34 ” engraved on back, 9 ct. gold expanding wristband attached; an 18 ct. gold engagement ring; set with three small diamonds in S-shaped setting; and a crystal vase of cut glass, 9 in. high : total value, £l9 2s. 6d. Haweka. —During the night of the 12th November last, the Summer Show Building was broken into and the following, the property of EDGAR ALAN CROTHALL, Wellington, stolen: A dark navy-blue suit with white stripes, made by R. J. Munro, Auckland; a light-grey suit with doublebreasted coat (suits would fit a man about 5 ft. 10 in. in height); and a small parcel of laundered clothing; total value, £l6 17s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Martin John Parrott, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes, short gait. He is an escapee from Porirua Mental Hospital.
