PERSONS WANTED.

- / Auckland. — ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his -wife, Nita Boreham, Raymond Leslie Boreham, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 655, and Photographs, 1933, page 32. Arrears to 28th October last, £45 7s. 4d. He is also wanted on a warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three days in default of paying £1 ss. fine and costs for having in his possession an unlicensed wireless-set. -ufia /'79T-39.

Auckland. —15th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for three months in default of paying £SB 6s. Bd. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, William George Mclsaac, age thirty-one, height about 5 ft. 11 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, gold filled upper front teeth, clasped hands and “ Mother ” on right forearm, heart and snake on left upper arm, scar on base of left thumb. Auckland. —26th October last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for four days in default of paying £1 15s. fine and costs for driving a motor-vehicle around a bend without keeping the vehicle to the left side of a line maintained by a local authority, John Cameron McArthur, age about thirty-three, height 6 ft., traveller^slight 'build, dark complexion, hair, eyes, and moustache ; usually dressed in a grey suit (no hat). ' y Auckland. 2lst July last, for false pretences, A. T. Perry, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., mediumlmild, dark complexion ; wears a tweed overcoat; walks with a decided limp. Accused obtained a pair of goloshes and 12s. 7d. in cash from Dudley Davies, manager, .Para Rubber Co., 3 Berwick Avenue, St. Heliers Bay, by means of a valueless cheque for £1 on the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. When located he is to be interviewed regarding the offence. No warrant.

Auckland.— July last, on warrant for false pretences, John Anthony Crawford, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 832, 'and' ~ Photographs, 1937, page 55. Accused obtained £1 10s. from Noel Ward, hairdresser, 571 Manukau Road, by falsely . representing that he was having printed “ pass-out ” checks for the Regent Theatre, Epsom, and that he had authority to advertise complainant’s business on them. There is another similar charge pending.

Auckland. — ultimo, on two warrants of commitment to Wellington Prison for one month on each in default of paying £l4 16s. arrears on maintenance orders for the support of his wife and child, James Ernest Cairns, age forty-three, height 6 ft., company-manager, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes : usually neatly dressed in a grey suit; hesitating speech ; walks with a limp. He may be released on payment of £l2 11s. , /,„

Auckland. —17th ultimo, on warrant for a breach of his probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), Roy Baxter Caulton, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, pages 81 and 815, and Photographs, 1932, page 2. He has failed to report to a Probation Officer. The original charge of which he was convicted reads : “ On the 3rd January, 1938, at Hamilton, did steal five bottles of beer, value 7s. 6d., the property of Ronald Avic Blair, and a bicycle lamp, valnmls/fldj/ the property of Cecil Neil Smith.’’ islQ^iAO /f t. n

Rotorua.— 2nd ultimo, on three warrants of commitment to Putaruru Prison for three days in default of paying £6 13s. fines and costs for breaches of the Traffic Regulations, George Mfkaere, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, Maori, Tbuild, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, flat nose, large mouth, scar on centre of forehead and on left cheek. Gisborne. —17th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Gisborne Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £4 Bs. fine and costs for false pretences, Pierre Kllgener, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 726) and Photographs, 1921, page 39 ‘ sasvwsiJf-sds te>/h fun.

Hastings. — 3rd instant, on warrant for false pretences, L. G. Hansen, age about thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in., "SHtpenter, native of Australia, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair going bald. Accused stole a blank cheque, No. U. 68423, from the cheque-book of Frank Newrick, hotelkeeper, Havelock North, filled it in for £lO, and by means of it obtained goods, value £1 15s. 9d., and £8 4s. 3d. cash, from the Havelock North Trading Co. The cheque was drawn on the National Bank of New Zealand, Hastings, and signed L. G. Hansen. He is in possession of a threeseater Buick Roadster motor-car, registration No. 74,413.

Blenheim. 2Bth October last, that a summons may be served on him for being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car in Grove Road, Robert Haworth, age about forty-five, height about 5 ft. 8 in.* motor-car salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair turning grey, brown eyes, scar on chin; dressed in a navy-blue suit and black shoes. _// Oj/fZ/lf?

Invercargill. 3lst October last, on warrant of commitment to Invercargill Prison for fourteen days in default of complying with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his three children, Adam Earl King, age thirtysix, height 5 ft. 8 in., salesman and traveller, native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, brown hair, large hazel eyes, right side of face paralysed ; erect gait; fond of drink. , / £/8/9/ijd.
