APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Devonport. — Jesse Andrew lan McDonald, deserting Navy returned to his ship on the 27th ultimo. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 591.)

Devonport. Aylmer Henry Lawrence Tuddenham, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Waihi police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 603.)

Auckland. Joseph Holland, on licensed premises during prohibited hours, has been served with the summons by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 31.)

Auckland. — Paki, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Nuhaka police. His correct name is Samuel Bluett. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 817.)

Auckland. Arthur James Barton, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 550.)

Auckland. — Archibald Cameron, alias Keith Cameron, suspected of false pretences, has been interviewed by the Wellington police. He was not associated with Arnold Vaughan Sutton in the commission of this offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 573.)

Newmarket. — Lawrence Edward Joseph McGovern, alias Brian McGovern, suspected of theft, lias been interviewed By the Mount Eden police, but no evidence resulted as he was in prison when the offence was committed. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 602.)

Te Aroha. — Lionel Graham Collins, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Te Puke police. (See Police Gazette, 1934, page 55.)

Hamilton. — J. J. Arthur, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police, and he admitted the offence. He is identical with Archibald Cameron, alias Keith Cameron. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 536.)

Hamilton. —The uncliamed bicycle has been claimed by the owner. (Sec Police Gazette, 1938, page 620.)

Stratford. Archibald Cameron, alias Keith Cameron, alias Maindonald, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police, and he admitted the offences. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 617.)

Napier. William Raymond Dennis George McMahon, theft, has been arrested by the Auckland police, and he admitted the offence. His correct name is William Raymond Fitzgerald. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 589.)

Patea. Archibald Cameron, alias Keith Cameron, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police, and he admitted the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 589.)

Wanganui. W. G. Campion, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police, and he admitted the offence. He is identical with Archibald Cameron, alias Keith Gameron. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 589.)

Wanganui. — -Frederick Hamlin, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 536.)

Wanganui. Arthur John Jones, unlawfully converting motor-car, has been arrested by the Taupo police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 601.)

Carterton.— William John Peterson, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Masterton police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, pages 504 and 549.)

Wellington. Elsie Bell Mace, missing : Her dead body, was recovered from the Wellington Harbour on the 26th ultimo. (See Police Gazette, 1938, pages 575 and 591.)

Wellington.— Harold Haigh Kardgrave, theft, has been interviewed by the Wellington police, and he admitted the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 590.)

Wellington. — Maurice Bull’s bicycle stolen : The offender has been charged with the offence, but the bicycle has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 522.)

Wellington. — Francis Arthur Blowers, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 574.)

Blenheim.— James William Mcßrearty, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1938, page 50.1.): The date of trial should read “ 13/6/38.” ■

Christchurch. — Mafeking Robert Hampton, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Ashburton police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 198.)

Christchurch.— Frederick Harvey, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Khandallah police. His correct name is Frederick Alexander Harvey. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 504.)

Christchurch.— John Kelly, alias Frederick Pratt, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Seddon police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 520.)

Christchurch — Lewis Walter Saunders, alias Louis Walter Saunders, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Islington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 480.)
