Devonport.— Jones, breaking out of H.M.S “ Endeavour ” : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 254.)

Freeman’s Bay. — Francis John Hayes, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by the Freeman’s Bay police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 535.)

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Daniel Robinson, deserting ship, has been arrested by the National Park police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 405.)

Auckland. Albert Graham Foakes, convicted of carnal knowledge (see Police Gazette, 1938, page 221) : The sentences have been reduced to two years on each by the Court of Appeal. This is in lieu of the notice in Police Gazette, 1938, page 521.

Auckland. — Francis Henry Purvis Rogers, default of maintenance: Warrant cancelled. (SeeTPolice Gazette, 1938, page 479.)

Auckland. Franklin John Maurier, default of fine and costs : The warrant has been executed by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 535.)

Auckland. Thomas Henry Edward Brady, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Freeman’s Bay police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 405.)

Auckland. — Ditley Gothard Monrad, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Paeroa police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 519.)

Auckland. — Robert Moisey Hooker, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Ponsonby police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 519.)

Auckland. — Godfrey Halverston, theft, has been arrested by the Otahuhu police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 535.)

Te Aroha.George Gale, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Upper Hutt police, but no evidence resulted. He is identical with William George Brown, alias Gale, alias Grey, referred to in Police Gazette, 1929, page 338. (See Police Gazette, 1934, page 291.)

Hamilton. — Cyril Nelson Robinson, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Te Kuiti police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 441.)

Hamilton.— Otene Housham, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Lyall Bay police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 536.)

Wairoa.Barney David Soloman, alias David Huria, alias Barney Huria, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Westport police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 520.)

Waitara. — Francis, alias Pam Franchtone, suspected of theft, has been arrested by the Hamilton police, and she admitted the offence. Her correct name is Maureen Palma Frantovich. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 121.)

Stratford. Palma Frantovich, suspected of theft, has been arrested by the Hamilton police, and she admitted the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 287.)

Hastings. John Richard Conrad Hargreaves, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Hastings police. (See Police Gazette, 1934, pages 177 and 204.)

Bulls. — Ivan Holland, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Addington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 520.)

Wellington. George Armitage, alias McLean, alias McLeod, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Thorndon police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 337.)

Wellington. Charles Howard Johnson, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 520.)

Wharf (Wellington). George Norman Hancock Read, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Taupo police. He assumed the name Alan Anderson. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 646.)

Christchurch.— Harold Edward Miller, alias Ernest Charles Millar, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1925, page 277): He died in the Auckland Public Hospital on the 3rd ultimo.

Fairlie. Patrick Herbert Campbell, default of fine: The warrant has been executed by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 252.)

Timaru. — E. McKnight, alias I. E. McKnight, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. His correct name is lan Ernest McKnight. (See Police Gazette, 1938, pages 270 and 520.)
