Raymond, alias Joseph Lahood, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 81 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, large nose, scar on nose and on right leg ; dressed in a navy-blue suit with doublebreasted coat (no hat) ; quiet speech; smart appearance. Accused obtained a Kodak camera and two films (recovered), value £3, from Ernest Wynne Bedford Le Quesne, chemist, Jervois Road, by falsely representing that he was employed by Mr. Biggs, manager, Tudor Builders, Ltd., on whom he gave an order for payment from his wages. He left his employment with that firm on the 21st April last. The camera was recovered from a second-hand dealer to whom it had been sold for £l.
