Auckland.- — 19th and 27th March last, from a boatshod in King’s Drive, the property of DOUGLAS STANLEY HILL, 32a Arney Crescent, Remuera, a gentlemen’s silver oblong wristlet : watch, Janies Pascoe make, Arabic numerals, “ D.S.H.” on back; a pair of grey flannel trousers two motor-car keys ; and Is. 3d. in money : total value, £3 6s. 3d. Identifiable except money.

Freeman’s Bay. —Between the 19th and 21st February last, from a launch in the shipbuilding yards, the property of SIDNEY RHODES SPEIGHT, 521 Karangahape Road, Newton, a 5 h.p. single cylinder two-stroke Caille marine engine, Schebler carburettor, battery ignition; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Parnell. — 18th March last, from the person of JAMES KENNEDY, 5 Alma Street, a gentlemen’s silver open-face keyless Waltham pocket watch, No. 12751859, “ A.W.W. Co., Waltham, Mass.” on dial, Roman numerals, leather strap attached ; a pair of horn-rimmed spectacles in black case; and 10s. in money : total value, £2 18s. 6d. Identifiable except money. The above-mentioned property was stolen from complainant while he was drunk.

r Hamilton.— On the 30th ultimo, the dwelling of JOSEPH CARNEY, 86 Collingwood Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ old gold keyless hunting watch which has been converted into half hunting; a long narrow platinum brooch, set with a small sapphire in centre , and a small diamond on each side of it; a set of gold dental plates, upper plate has two artificial teeth on each side at back, lower plate has thick gold band around edge and two artificial teeth on each side at back ; a silver cigarette-case (holds about six cigarettes in each side), may have “ J.V.” on it; sixty No. 1 Churchman cigarettes and a set of 18 ct.' gold sleeve-links (believed to be oval), “ J.V.” on one end of each link, one link broken : total value, £49 9s. Identifiable except cigarettes. Suspicion is attached to Charles Arthur William Hansen, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 212, and Photographs, 1933, page 34, and following paragraph. He may be dressed in a blue suit, fawn felt hat, and navy-blue mackintosh overcoat; erect jaunty gait. He may assume the name Tony Anovensen. Complainant’s wife saw a man of suspect’s description leaving the rear of the premises soon after the offence -was committed, and it has been ascertained that Hansen was in Hamilton at that time. „ .

Hamilton. Between the 27th ultimo and 2nd instant, from the dwelling of CUSHLA HUNTER, 58 Clarence Street, a Chinese trinket box of dark wood with brown design all over it, about 8 in. by 6 in. by 3 in., fitted with three drawers with small silver handle in shape of nail head and a door, corners reinforced with silver ; a ladies’ gold openface wristlet-watch, “ C.W.H.” and “10th Sept. 1916” on outside back case, gold spring link bracelet attached ; a gold ring with gold wedge inside, set with a cluster of green stones with pearl in centre ; and a ladies’ large silver wristletwatch : total value, £7. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Charles Arthur William Hansen, referred to in preceding paragraph.

Hamilton— 29th ultimo, from the dwelling of MONA NICKLIN, 53 River Road, a gold engagement ring, set with fifteen diamonds (large one in centre) in diamondplatinum setting ; a gold ring, set with large pearl in claw setting; and a child’s red money-box, pillar box type, containing about six coppers : total value, about £35. ' Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Gharles Arthur William Hansen, referred to in preceding paragraph.

Hamilton. — On the 30th ultimo or Ist instant, from the dwelling of LAURA THERESA BASSTIAN, 21 Milton Street, an 18 ct. gold Theosophical symbol about size of a florin with serpent surrounding interlaced triangles, swastika in small disc at top and Tau symbol in centre, fine gold chain about 15 in. long attached ; a Post Office Savings-bank book in the name of the Theosophical Society, Hamilton ; a small note-book containing entries relating to Theosophical funds ; and £8 in money : total value, about £lO. Suspicion is attached to Charles Arthur William Hansen, referred to in preceding paragraph, /S/b/3£

Gisborne. On the 13th or 14th February last, from the yard of F. Barwick, 74 Peel Street, the property of the HEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Railways Department), a dirty grey tarpaulin, 18 ft. by 12 ft., “ N.Z.R.” in black letters of about 6 in. long inside circle in each corner ; value. £7. Identifiable.

Inglewood. Bth ultimo, the property of JOSEPH PETERS, draper, a -38 calibre chambered revolver, No. 358222, made by Forehand Arms Co., Worcester, U.S.A. Complainant lost the revolver from his motor-van while hawking drapery in the Taranaki province.

Masterton. —Between the 14th and 16th instant, the , counting-house of NORMAN HOWARD JAMES, Bett’s Buildings, Lincoln Road, was broken into, the strong-room forced open, and the following stolen : £26 11s. l|d., made up of five £5 notes, one £1 note, and the remainder in silver and coppers ; an open cheque, No. 553316, for £74 9s. 6d., drawn on the Bank of New South Wales, Masterton, by D. Wellington.— l3th January last, from the shop of NEVILLE DOUGLAS BRAITH WAITE, radio dealer, 132 Lambton Quay, a four-valve portable Airzone radioset, Phillips transformer, uses Phillips’ valves, Nos. A. 415, A. 425, B. 409, and B. 403, in black oblong case ; value, £3 18s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to A. C. Estop, age about forty, height 5 ft. 7 in., strong build, olive complexion, grey hair, brown eyes, slouchy gait; a halfcaste Hindu with pronounced foreign accent. He was in the shop while complainant was occupied in the workshop at the rear of the premises, and he had an opportunity to steal the radio-set.

Mount Cook. —23rd ultimo, from a hall in Brougham Street, the property of JOHN FREDERICK GLENSOR, 3 Endeavour Street, Island Bay, a gentlemen’s doublebreasted black cloth overcoat, American style, fully lined with black art silk, sash across back, no vent, jigger cuff's, fit man about 5 ft. 9 in. ; value, £7 7s. Identifiable.
