Auckland. —6th ultimo, from O’Connel, Street, the property of ALLAN JOHN ST. CLAIR BROWN, a dark-blue, 1937 model four door sedan Morris 8 motor-car, engine number 120647, chassis number, 119871, registered number, 98,972; value, £220. Ideutifiabley^^^^
Stratford. On the 9th or 10th January last, from the dwelling of MATTHEW HENRY BOYD, Pukengahu,. a brown leather wallet, folding type, containing about £2 in money ; a motor-driver’s license ; a motor-car registration certificate; and sundry papers: total value, about £3. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Maureen Palma Frantovich, age about twenty-one, height 5 ft. 4 in., domestic, slight build, fair complexion, fuzzy fair hair with Eton crop, brown eyes, large nose ; wearing a brown costume ; Jewish appearance. She was employed by complainant but left on the 10th January last, after which it was discovered that the property described above had been, stolen from a bedroom, and she was seen in that bedroom before she left. She may be identical with Pam Francis, alias Pam Franchtone, referred to in Police Gazette, 1938, page 121. ABRESSEO-. 16/8/38. Eastbourne. sth ultimo, from a garage at 49 Oroua Street, the property of ALBERT JAMES WALLING, carrier, a single-breasted fine grey flannel suit coat, three buttons on front, two inside breast pockets, and ticket pocket, no outside breast pocket, “ J. Doherty ” on tab ; value, £8 Bs. Identifiable. A parcel (addressed “ Mr. E. D. Sladden, C/o Miss D. Sladden, next Hotel containing the coat was stolen from Albert James Walling’s garage,
Wellington. -Between the 14th and 18th February last, from a case in the bulk store of the WESTERN ELECTRIC CO., N.Z., LTD., Tokio Lane, nine round electric speakers about 9 in. in diameter and 4 in. deep, used for talkie-picture machines, fitted with electric terminals and handle, each speaker is branded “ Western Electric, 555 Receiver ” and weighs about 20 lb. : total value, £9O. Identifiable. :
Wellington. 24th February last, from a cubicle at the Star Boating Club Shed, the property of ERIC VERNON DAWSON, 30a Roxburgh Street, a gentlemen’s silver Rolex Oyster wristlet-watch, No. 50683.20, repair No. 6396, luminous Arabic numerals, “ E.V.D.” on back case, black leather strap attached ; value, £5 15s. Identifiable.
Milton. Between the 28th December and 3rd February last, from the dwelling of Mr. Dabinett, Toko Mouth, the property of ERNEST JOHN RE AY, Waronui, a -22 calibre Winchester repeating rifle, No. 668621 ; value, £5. . Identifiable.
