Hamilton. — MARKHAM’S shop broken into: Most of the stolen property has been recovered, and John William Devenish Meares arrested for the offence by the Whangarei police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 293.)
Te Araroa.— RICHARD ERIC WOOD’S revolver has been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 122.)
New — -JOSEPH MATANGI’S bicycle has been recovered by the New Plymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 771.)
Shannon. —ERNEST CHESTER’S bicycle has been recovered from a drain near Shannon. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 849.)
Wellington.— ROßEßT LESLIE WATKINS’S watch stolen (see Police Gazette, 1937, page 5) : The watch has been recovered by the Wellington police, having been pledged with Walter Smart, pawnbroker, 97 Willis Street, on the 14th ultimo, by a man who gave his name as IV?. Barron, and his occupation as labourer. He is described as being about thirty-five years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. in height, and of stout build.
Coalgate.— SAMUEL SMITH’S rifle stolen : the stock with automatic mechanism attached has been recovered from a water-race at Aylesbury. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 803.)
Christchurch. EDGAß ROLAND FISHER’S bicycle has been found, not stolen. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 804.)
Dunedin. The Police railway-pass, No. 844, has been found. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 461.)
Dunedin. —MURDOCH McLEAN’S bicycle has been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 850.)
Otautau. ANDREW ELLICE PAULIN’S bicycle has been recovered by the Otautau police, and the offender convicted of the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 582.)
