Auckland. -13th November last, the property of HARRIET LEISHAM, 5 Pitt Street, a ladies’ gold Swiss wristletwatch about size of a shilling-piece, cream-coloured dial, black Arabic numerals, “ Watson, Chch ” on dial, black wrist-band ; and £1 15s. in money : total value, £7. H. Williams, Coventry ” on it, containing a gentlemen’s Harris tweed sports coat of brown mixture, may have “ T. New Plymouth. Between 31st August and 20th September last, from the Coronation Hall, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), a -455 calibre Webley service revolver, No. 368 ; and a -455 calibre Colt service revolver, No. 3 : total value, £ll. Identifiable.

Raurimu. On the 21st or 22nd September last, from a suit-case in a hut at the Egmont Box Co. mill, National Park, the property of ALBERT PEARSON, Ongarue, a black imitation leather Retina camera, about 3J in. by 6 in. by ,l|- in., takes a film with thirty-six exposures on it, and is similar to a moving-picture camera; value, £ll. Palmerston North. Between the 20th and 26th November last, from the gymnasium of the Boys’ High School, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), three -303 calibre short magazine Lee Enfield rifles, numbered on butt discs as follows : 173, 192, and 217; total value, £l2 2s. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —l6th September last, the dwelling of ARTHUR OLIVER, 8a Pretoria Street, was broken into and the following stolen : £lO 18s. 6d. in English silver ; and a gentlemen’s gold watch-chain, three-bar two-bar pattern, swivel at one end, bar at other end, has been converted from a ladies’ wristlet chain : total value, £lB 18s. 6d. Identifiable except money.

Petone. During the night of the 16th ultimo, the shop of R. Y. SHEARER, LTD., 29 High Street, Lower Hutt, was broken into and the following stolen : About £IOO in money, consisting of four £5 notes, fifty-five £1 notes, ten 10s. notes, and £2O in silver; and a Petone rug, brown or fawn on one side and large check on other side, 4 in. fringe at each end, “ Petone ” on one corner; value, £4. Not identifiable. The back of the safe in the strong-room was cut open with a cold chisel.

Port Nelson. 2lst ultimo, from clothing in the crew’s quarters of the ship “ Waimea,” the property of GEORGE HEATH, fireman, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold keyless hunting Baume watch, No. 105019, repair No. 696. J. scratched inside back case; and a 9 ct. gold double chain, beaded curb pattern; total value, £ll. Identifiable.

Hokitika. —16th October last, from a room in the Empire Hotel, the property of JAMES RICHARDSON, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Rotherhams English lever watch, number thought to be 349, spring on front leaf broken, small dent near edge of front case, “ J.R.” on small shield on front case, “ To James Richardson on his 21st birthday, 28-10-10 from his father ” in scroll of ferns on inside of back case, winding key attached to watch by a silver chain about 8 in. long ; value, £5. Christchurch. Between the 12th and 22nd November last, the property of MARGUERITE LUCY RHODES, 52 Holmwood Road, Fendalton, a ladies’ wristlet-watch about J in. wide and 1 in. long, No. 27620 (may be Swiss make), platinum front, gold back, outside edge studded with diamonds, “ Rita 20-2-23 ” on back, black rolled cord with expanding chain about 1J in., which has clasp in middle value, £BO. During the night of 18th November last, the dwelling of ERNEST SUMMERS WILSON, 4 New Street, St. Kilda, was broken into and the following stolen : £1 15s. in money; four pink locknit silk nightdresses; three pairs of pink locknit silk bloomers; a pair of light silk stockings; and a ladies’ gold keyless wristlet-watch, Arabic numerals, gold expanding bracelet attached: total value, £l7 7s. 6d. Identification doubtful.

Dunedin. —About 1 a.m. on the 20th November last, the shop of JOHN GEORGE ADAM, jeweller, 269 King Edward Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ 9 ct. gold 15-jewel keyless wristlet-watch, Rotary movement, Arabic numerals encircled with mother-of-pearl; two ladies’ 9 ct. gold culture single pearl rings; a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold signet ring with oval shield; a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold tiki ring, greenstone set in oblong block; and a 9 ct. gold arrow wedding ring : total value, £8 Bs. Portion identifiable. The property was stolen from the shop window which was damaged to the extent of £4.
