SPECIAL NOTICE.

Attempted Rape.

Napier. —On the night of the 26th ultimo, Zena Kelly, age twelve, attended the Westshore Pictures. At the conclusion of the entertainment she found that the valve of her bicycle-tire had been removed, and she decided to walk home. While walking along Beach Road she was accosted by a Man who asked her the way to the Westshore Hotel, at the same time placing his hand over her mouth and striking her on the head with some weapon, after which he dragged her to the side of the road where he attempted to rape her. She is unable to describe him other than that he was a big strong built man wearing a long overcoat, black or navyblue in colour and of heavy material, his hat appeared to be black and pointed at the crown after th 6 military style. No warrant. „
