Auckland. —2nd March last, for obtaining credit by fraud, Percival Richard Parker, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 104 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, mole on right cheek, small scar on back of right hand ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and white-and-tan shoes. Accused employed Frederick John Dickey, taxi-driver, 212 Mt. Smart Road, Onehunga, to drive him to near Waiuku. When they reached there he said he had left his wallet at 22 Marsden Avenue, Auckland, and engaged complainant to drive him back to that address. He went into the house and later returned saying a girl in the house had found the wallet, and had gone to the city to look for him. He then engaged the driver to convey him to 196 Hobson Street where he gave Dickey an 1.0. U. for the fare — 10s. He signed the document “ James Williams.” When located he is to be interviewed. When last seen she was wearing a brown dress and blue straw hat. She is said to frequent dancehalls, and may associate with undesirable girls and naval ratings. She is suspected of having stolen from the residence of her mother Jessie Phoebe Collett, Swansonbefore she disappeared on the 15th February last, a ladies’ round silver Rolex wristlet-watch, with Arabic numerals • value, £3 17s. 6d. English, age about forty-two, height about 5 ft. 7 in., slight build, medium complexion, large mouth ; well dressed in a navy skirt, navy woollen jumper, and small navy hat; good appearance. Accused obtained the following described articles from Frances Muriel McMillan, clerk in the shop of John Murrell, jeweller, The Strand Arcade, Queen Street, by falsely representing that she was a daughter of Mr. J. English, licensee, The Duke of Marlborough Hotel, Russell : Two 9 ct. gold wire bangles ; and an antique oval gold brooch, set with four garnets near centre, long pin fastener at back and filigree work on edge : total value, £8 4s. Auckland. —On the 23rd or 24th December last, a letter containing a cheque (recovered) for £3 10s. 6d., signed “ A. S. Lamb,” the property of Percival Webster Lamb, 17 Benson Road, Itemuera, was stolen, and inquiries are to be made for the offender. Archibald Stewart Lamb, farmer, Te Puninga, Morrinsville, posted at the Rural Mail, Te Puninga, the letter containing the cheque to his brother at Remuera. The letter was not received, and inquiries revealed that the cheque was cashed at the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, on the 24th December by a man who endorsed it “ B. Coonan.” His description is as follows : Age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., strong build, fair hair and complexion ; dressed in a dark suit (no hat), left arm believed to be in plaster owing to a sprained wrist; quiet manner. Albert Edward Owen (with whom the description coincides), referred to in Police Gazette, 1934, page 173, and Photographs, 1932, page 85, has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Te Kuiti. —Bth March last, that a summons for wilfully breaking a pane of glass may be served upon him, John Joseph Landers, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 550, and Photographs, 1924, page 87^^^

New Plymouth. —3rd instant, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Larchbank,” All Bin Abrahim, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 9 in., seaman, native of Malaya, slight build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, scar below lower lip; dressed in blue trousers, grey coat, and grey waterproof overcoat (no hat). He may be wearing a fancy scarf. His photograph is filed ‘ /C g / n^e£u / Cf/ 7~7~ 37.

Wanganui. loth instant, for a breach of his probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), Charlie Hore, alias IVlaaka, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 88. The original charge on which he was convicted reads: “On the 9th day of December, 1936, at Wanganui, did steal a gentlemen’s bicycle, value £3, the property of Thomas Harrison Baughen.” He has failed to report to a Probation Officer, and his arrest is desired. sCbry&at&d/ *7''7^37.

Wellington. —Between the 24th and 26th ultimo, for breaking and entering the dwelling of Joan Caldwell, 1 Boundary Road, Kelburn, and stealing a ladies’ ring (recovered), and lOd. in cash ; value, £1 ss. 10d., Kenneth George Rickwood. age about twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 11 in., seaman and labourer, native of England, thin build, dark complexion, hair, and eyes ; dressed in grey trousers and blue coat (no hat) ; well spoken ; stern expression. On the 28th ultimo the stolen ring was recovered in a pawnshop where it had been pledged by a man who gave the name J. Wakefield, and who had a registration levy-book, No. 541394, in that name. He is identical with Rickwood, referred to above, and in the commission of the offence he was associated with William Donghi, alias William Joseph Yemm, who has been arrested. Rickwood may be in possession of pawn ticket, No. 3818, issued by James Batten, pawnbroker, Cuba Street, Wellington. When located he is to be interviewed. Lynch, age twentyseven, height 5 ft. 10 in., fireman, strong build, pale complexion, curly dark hair ; erect gait; fond of drink.

Blenheim. —11th instant, that he may be located and induced to refund to the Labour Department, £1 Is. 9d. advanced to him on the 3rd November, 1936, by the Employment Bureau, Christchurch, for his fare from Wellington to Seddon, Arthur Graham, age about fifty-five, height about 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, fresh complexion, grey hair going bald, round face. His levy-book is No. 276638.
