Warkworth. — the 18th and 21st November last, from a motor-car, the property of LEONARD MOORE, Wilson Road, a light-grey coat, “ H. Wilson, Karangahapo Road, Auckland ” on tag at neck; a pair of light-grey tweed trousers ; a gold double-curb watch-chain similar to illustration No. 15 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; an 18 ct. gold medal, inscribed “ Presented for fastest time round Mt. Egmont road race 1922, Time 5-11 J ”on one side, and design of Mount Egmont on other side ; a 9 ct. gold medal, inscribed “ Ist in race round Mt. Egmont road race in 1922 ” on one side, and “ L.R.M.” on raised shield on other side ; a postoffice savings-bank book, No. 216327, and a motor driver’s license in complainant’s name ; and nine £1 notes : total value, £2O. Identifiable.

Newton. —l3th ultimo, from the cloak-room in Romano’s Cabaret, 132 Karangahape Road, the property of DOROTHY FECHT, 6 Marine Square, Devonport, a ladies’ black heavy woollen overcoat with silver-grey lining, dark fur collar with darker stripes, stitched cuffs, small pocket of same material as lining on left side, fit woman about 5 ft. 6 in.; value, £5 ss. Identifiable. The overcoat described hereunder was left in place of the one stolen : A ladies’ old rough tweed with fawn satin lining, brown fur collar, one black button in front.

Auckland.— November last, from a room in the Star Hotel, the property of ALEXANDER BEALES LEE, cook, a navy-blue serge double-breasted suit, “ Stan. Ayres ” on tag at neck, fit man about 5 ft. 10 in., ; a gentlemen’s light striped grey overcoat with black lines, “ Keane’s Ltd.” at back of neck, fit man about 5 ft. 10 in.; and £1 10s. in money : total value, £9 15s. Identifiable except money.

Auckland.— Between the 15th January last and 10th ultimo, from the premises of THEATRE EQUIPMENT, LTD., Ferguson Buildings, a Wilcox Gay radio-set, made in United States of America, size 12 in. by 8 in. by 8 in., black crackle steel cabinet. The set is an uncommon type in New Zealand, and can only be used by means of a battery ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 30th January last and 7th ultimo, the dwelling of LESLIE FREDERICK BEDFORD, 23 Paratai Drive, Orakei, was broken into and the following stolen: A ladies’ gold octagon wristlet-watch, Arabic numerals, fine gold mesh wrist-band attached ; a pair of gentlemen’s black kid shoes, size 8, American make ; and a dark-brown fine English worsted suit, “ H. E. Bunker, Tailor, Queen Street, Auckland,” and “L. F. Bedford ” on tag inside neck, trouser cuffs repaired at back, fit man about 5 ft. 10 in. : total value, £lO. Identifiable.

Auckland. — the 31st January last and sth ultimo, a shed, the property of the MORNINGSIDE QUARRIES, LTD., New North Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A Tangi endless chain with two steel blocks, five-ton lift, hammer-marks and “ Tangi ” on blocks ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Auckland.— On the 30th or 31st January last, the property of NORMAN EDWARD OWEN, 21 Foch Avenue, Mount Roskill, an A.J.S. motor-cycle gear-box; a motor-cycle headlamp ; a motor-cycle knee-pad; a motor-cycle timingchain ; and a motor-cycle brake-pedal : total value, £26 2s. 6d. Identifiable. The above parts were stolen from the motorcycle which was unlawfully converted from outside the Western Springs Stadium.

Remuera. — On the 4th or sth ultimo, from the dwelling of AMY FLORENCE BEVAN, 8 Upland Road, a silver oval milk jug, about 3 in. high and 4 in. long, Georgian shape, “ G.H.,” crown, lion, and “ b ” near handle, “ M.” on bottom ; value, £5. Identifiable.

New Plymouth. —On or about the 11th December last, from Nolan’s auction mart, the property of HENRY GEORGE BROOKE, Frankley Road, a •22 calibre single-shot rifle, No. 248810, Belgium make; value, ss. Identifiable. Douglas Victor Zumbach, age thirteen, has admitted stealing the rifle, but it has not been recovered.

Wanganui. —Between the 9th and 11th January last, from a dressing-shed in Cook’s Gardens, the property of JOHN DOUGLAS MORGAN, Madras Street, Aramoho, a 620 Valenda Kodak folding camera, F. 4-5 lens, K. Bs, No. 794384 ; value, £8 2s. 6d. Identifiable.

Marton. —During the night of 15th ultimo, from the stables of EDWARD STENT, farm-manager, Bonny Glen, a light English saddle, canvas girth; a saddle, recently stuffed and repaired, roll knee-pads, leather girth and breastplate ; a saddle, recently stuffed, greenhide girth ; a single rein bridle; two greenhide bridles with nickel-plated bits; an old oilskin overcoat; a saddle oilskin overcoat about 54 in., double lining on shoulders, two pockets on outside; a riding oilskin overcoat (known as a “ slicker ”), about 56 in., double lining on shoulders, two or three small holes near bottoms of sleeves, may have “ Edward Stent ” on inside of shoulders; a green canvas horse-rug with blanket lining, size 4 ft. 9 in.; and two faded green jute-lined horserugs, sizes about 4 ft. 9 in., one has L-shaped tear which has been repaired with string, on left hand side near rump : total value, £l9 ss. Identifiable.

Dannevirke. 22nd January last, from a cubicle in the Coronation Baths, the property of FRANK CUSHING, 211 High Street, a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold cushion-shaped Helvetia wristlet-watch, No. 2621376, “ Patent shock absorber ” stamped on movement, “ 448 K.C.M. 6-2-34 ” scratched on inside case ; value, £7. Identifiable.

Wellington. Between the 13th and 15th instant, the shop of WOODWORTHS LTD., 128 Cuba Street, was broken into and the following stolen: Four 16 in. compressed-fibre attache-cases, double looks; three 14 in. compressed-fibre attache-cases, double locks; two 16 in. compressed-fibre attache-cases, catch fasteners ; one 20 in. compressed-fibre attache-case, double locks; about forty-eight gramophone records of various makes, jazz recordings; two imitation leather handbags, one navy-blue, the other nigger-brown, sizes 61 in. by 9| in., snap fasteners; a large quantity of cigarettes of various brands; 21 lb. of Airman tobacco in 2 oz. tins; about fifty pairs of Lady Diana hose; eleven pairs of ladies’ white fabric gloves; six single-bed white cotton sheets ; eighteen 1 lb. boxes of Queen Anne chocolates, “ Nestles Winning Post ” on each box ; twenty-four | lb. boxes of Queen Anno chocolates; twenty-four Easter eggs contained in fancy cartons ; and a quantity of ladies’ Athletic locknit underwear: total value, £4B 16s. Wellington. —Between the 24th and 26th December last, from the dwelling of WILLIAM' TAU, 154 a Taranaki Street, a brown fibre suit-case, 2 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in. ; a navyblue serge suit, size 4; a pair of gentlemen’s black shoes, size 5 ; a pair of gentlemen’s tan shoes, size 5 ; two pairs of ladies’ blue and red slippers, size 5 ; a ladies’ cream and blue silk dress ; a set of ladies’ cream and blue silk pyjamas ; a ladies’ pink locknit petticoat; twelve packets of raspberry jelly; a bottle of olive oil; a bottle of camphorated oil; a bottle of eucalyptus : total value, £ls. Portion identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Hauiti Materia, alias Simmonds, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 690, and Photographs, 1921, page 40.
