SPECIAL NOTICE.
Christchurch. —15th instant, on warrant for absconding from bail, Norman Dugald Ferrier Campbell, age fifty-four, height 5 ft. 10 in., sheep-farmer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, fair hair turning grey, blue eyes, good teeth ; dressed in a grey flannel suit with double-breasted coat, and blue shirt and collar; arrogant manner; smart appearance and gait; was educated at Eton, and he has a typical English Univorsity accent. On the 28th October last, on charges of buggery and indecent assault on a male, he was committed for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court on the 9th February, 1937, and admitted to bail in one surety of £I,OOO. He was last heard of in the Cheviot district on the 29th ultimo, and he left a letter expressing his intention to be absent for a week or ten days on a fishing expedition. Since then he has not been seen, and he may endeavour to leave this Dominion. His photograph is published above.
