PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. the 9th November last, the dwelling of FANNY AMELIA WATSON, 9 New Bond Street, Kingsland, was broken into and the following stolen: A greenstone heart, about 2£ in. deep, “ F.A.W.” in gold letters on it; a greenstone brooch, about 2£ in., by £ in., “ N.Z.” in gold letters on it ; and live gold medals about size of a florin, each bearing inscriptions as being won for pigeon flying, and having on them “ W. Watson ” or “ W. & A. Watson,” and three of them have “Presented by Arthur Myers” on them : total value, £l4 ss. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 26th October last, the dwelling of JOHN CAMPBELL INGLIS, 50 St. George’s Bay Road, Parnell, was broken into and the following stolen : a gentlemen’s gold (may be 15 ct.) hunting Itotherhams pocket watch, Roman numerals, broken rim, no glass, small dents on bottom of case, which is chased ; a cream silk shirt, stain on back ; and five £1 notes : total value, £7 ss. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to David Fletcher, alias Sargent, referred to in Police Gazette, 1931, page 516, who has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted. At one time he resided with complainant, and knew where the door key was hidden.

Auckland. —17th October last, from the dwelling of ETHEL CASSELS-BROWN, 11 Omahu Road, a white gold diamond ring, large square cut diamond with smaller diamonds in shoulders in platinum setting ; an 18 ct. gold half-hoop ring, set alternately with five stones (rubies and diamonds) in claw setting; a gold signet ring, well worn, “E. C. B.” on it; and an 18 ct. gold engagement ring, set with ruby in centre and small diamonds and rubies in slits on each side of band : total value, £42 10s. Identifiable/ Auckland. l6th November last, from a cabin on the R.M.S. “ Rangitata,” between Pitcairn Island and New Zealand, the property of FRANK HEUSTON, steward, 50 Mulgrave Street, Wellington, a gentlemen’s silver open-face keyless Waltham watch, “ Henry Bradford, 67 Regent Street, London ”on inside of case; value, £5. Not identifiable.

Auckland. 27th November last, from a motor-car in Victoria Street, the property of EDWIN REX TREMAIN, traveller for Ross and Glendining : A suit-case (recovered); a box of silk underwear, branded “ Rosnit ” (about forty assorted garments); a box of silk underwear, Daintee brand (about thirty garments); two black wraps of towelling cloth ; three sets of children’s pyjamas ; four sets of ladies’ pyjamas ; a set of Daintee pyjamas; and a box of frilling samples : total value, £2O 15s. Identification doubtful.

Stratford. —On or about the 26th November last, the property of the FARMERS’ CO-OP. ORGANIZATION SOCIETY, Broadway, a hand-piece for sheep-shearing machine, Wolseley make, No. 10, plated, milled barrel, comb and cutter, 14 in. long, No. 32847; value, £6 Bs. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —7th November last, from a locker in the Hokowhitu Golf Club House, the property of RICHARD ERIC STEVENSON, 14 Carlton Avenue, a black leather folder, about 4£ in. by 3 in., “ Bank N.Z.” engraved in gold on it, containing a cheque-book on the Bank of New Zealand, Palmerston North, No. 189168-92 (all cheque-forms had been used except 189184-92 ; a Palmerston North City Council motor-driver’s license, No. 1118, issued on 29th May, 1936 in complainant’s name ; and sundry receipts : total value, 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington. —lsth November last, from the bathroom in Paisley House, 303 Cuba Street, the property of ROBERT LESLIE WATKINS, a gentlemen’s gold open-face keyless 15-jewel Cyma wristlet- watch, case No. 63344, Arabic numerals, Swiss movement, chased case, luminous hands ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Wellington. 3lst ultimo or Ist instant, from Ballance Street, the property of FREDERIC GEOFFREY WILLIAMSON, 25 Panama Street, a blue five-seater saloon Morris Minor motor-car, registration No. 142 v 970, engine No. 41307, wire wheels, slight dent in left door, Dunlop tires on front wheels, India tires on rear wheels ; value, £175.
