PERSONS WANTED.

Dargaville. 2sth January last, on warrant for breach of his probationary license (Crimes Amendment Act, 1910), William Poa, alias Joseph Dick, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 628, and Photographs, 1925, page 50. Usually dressed in a brown suit. The offender was released on license and failed to report.

Auckland.— 2sth ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Margaret Annie Newcombe, and child, Alfred Newcombe, age sixty, height 5 ft. 61 in., farmer, strong build, sallow complexion, curly mousy-brown hair, grey eyes which are sunken and closely set, heavy jaws. Arrears to 18th February last, £294 13s. 4d.

Hamilton. —23rd ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his two children, Owen Erwood and Valerie Erwood, Charles William Erwood, age forty-four, height about 5 ft. 9 in., garage proprietor, native of England, medium build, light wavy brown hair, blue eyes, brown birth-mark on one wrist, tattoo-marks on one or both forearms, round face, cleanshaven ; wears horn-rimmed spectacles; usually dressed in a brown or grey suit, tan shoes (no hat); neat appearance.

Rotorua. l9th ultimo, on warrant for failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child of whom Violet Sunnex is the mother, Herbert Monkley, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, cast in one eye ; slovenly appearance ; wearing a grey coat, navy-blue trousers, and grey felt hat. He may be accompanied by Ivy Emma Sunnex (sister of complainant), age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 1 in., stout build, dark frizzy buster cut hair, dark complexion, broad face; wearing a black costume and white hat. May now be wearing slacks.

Kawhia. —28th ultimo, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), David Allan Ferry, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 732 ; usually dressed in a blue serge suit. New Plymouth. 24th January last, on warrant of commitment to New Plymouth Prison for two days in default of paying £2 fine and costs for being in possession of an unregistered wireless-set, John Robert Campbell, age about nineteen, height 5 ft. 6 in., golf instructor, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, slouching gait, appears to be flat-footed; wearing either a light-grey or dark-brown/suit, brown felt hat, and tan shoes, /L g/J/3/

Christchurch. — January last, that he may be interviewed regarding the theft of a motor-car (recovered), referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 97, the property of John Richard Belcher, Man (name unknown), age about thirtyseven, height 5 ft. 11 in., slight build, fair complexion and hair, slight cast in one eye, wears horn-rimmed spectacles ; smartly dressed in a grey suit. Suspect left the stolen car in a private garage from where it was recovered. The registration-plates and keys of the car were taken away by the suspect.

Christchurch. — 31st ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Catherine Adey Pruden, 420 Avonside Drive, George Ernest Pruden, age sixty-five, height 5 ft. 101 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, long thin nose, has one crooked finger, artificial teeth ; usually well dressed. » ——

Ashburton. 23rd December last, that a summons may be served upon him for failing to pay his unemployment levies, Felix Keon Francis Brocheree, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., shearer and wood-cutter, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion, inclined to he stooped, appearance of a foreigner ; usually dressed in a blue suit, tan shoes, and lisht-eMopred felt hat. Dunedin. —19th ultimo, on two warrants of commitment to Dunedin Prison for forty-eight hours on each in default of paying £3 10s. fines and costs for driving a motor-car without a license, and using a Government sign on motorcar without authority, George Henry Johnson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 84. He has been recently travelling in the country cleaning tanks. V /j j /

Dunedin. Andrew Reid Burt, failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 188. It has been ascertained by the Auckland police that he has assumed the name H. He repairs sewing-machines, and does painting and paperhanging,in country districts.
