Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £3 18s. fine and costs for dangerously driving a motor-car, Clive Frederick Feathersicsie Hammond, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 7\ in., salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, slight scar above right l eye. Wanganui.— l2th November last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Elsie L. Wallace, Cliff Bruce Wallace, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer and salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair turning grey, blue eyes. Eketahuna. On or about the 7th ultimo, on warrant for forgery and uttering, Gerald McWhirter, alias George McDonald, alias John McWhirter, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and butcher, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, broken nose, left forefinger injured; dressed in a navy-blue suit, black boots, and felt hat. Accused, who was employed by Charles Roy Eendall on Waitawhiti Sheep-run, stole a chequeform on the Bank of New Zealand, Eketahuna, from his employer’s cheque-book, filled it in for £25 Bs., forged the signature “ C. R. Eendall ” to it, uttered it to Walter Donald Moroney, barman, Marquis of Normanby Hotel, and received the full amount in cash.
