Whangarei. 2nd instant, from the person of JAMES ■ BOYLE, Tangitereria, a gentlemen’s nickel 15-jewelled Railway lever pocket-watch,' “ J. Shucksmith, Whangarei and Kaikohe ” stamped on dial, single minutes indicated in black Arabic numerals except every fifth minute, which is in larger " red Arabic numerals, may have guarantee mark, No. 1315 J. 3 on inside case ; value, £1 2s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Arthur Watson Green, referred to in Police Gazette, 1934, page 257, and Photographs, 1920, page 33, who was drinking with complainant. Auckland. —During the night of the 16th August last, the office of the AUCKLAND MOTOR CO., 87 Albert Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A safe and a motor-car (recovered); a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold open-face keyless Waltham watch, Arabic numerals, with ‘1 To Raj from father and mother on his 21st birthday ” or similar words on it; a gold fetter and oval watch-chain, with yellow stone pendant attached ; and a Routicator, which is used for indicating the destination of busses ; and £1 7s. 6d. in money : total value, £365. Suspicion is attached to Robert Cockburn, Thomas Douglas Forsythe, and William Mcßeynolds, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 552, who have been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Gisborne. sth April last, from the train between Auckland and Taneatua, the property of THOMAS LAWSON, Derby Street, a ladies’ blue leather overcoat, about 39 in. chest (to fit short stout person), fawn ■ fleecy lining, coat has been lengthened about 5 in. and has piece of kid leather inset at back from neck to waist; a ladies’ red leather overcoat, about 34 in. chest, fawn lining with red squares, coat has been lengthened about 6 in. : total value, £ls 10s. Identifiable. The coats were railed from Auckland by the Dominion Leather Goods Co., and ■when the train reached Taneatua they were missing.
