Helensvillb. 29th May last, the property of WILLIAM MASEFIELD CHANNON, a double-barrelled breech-loading shot-gun, 12 gauge, No. 211219, copper nail through handle grip; value, £9. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Rfluri Thompson, shearer and labourer; a Maori. He has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted. He is also suspected of stealing another gun at the same time, the property of George Philip Morris. Description: A doublebarrelled breech-loading shot-gun, stock has been broken and spliced with three brass plates; value, £4 4s. Identifiable. Complainants were shooting at South Head, and during a visit to a homestead their guns were stolen.

Auckland.— Between the 17th and 22nd April last, the dwelling of ISABEL EMILY FINCH, 61 Western Springs Road, Mount Albert, was broken into and the following stolen: A gentlemen’s gold-filled Swiss hunting watch, engine-turned case, case No. 629 ; a 9 ct. gold double curb watch-chain with silver match-box attached; a greencoloured fountain-pen, “ The New Swift ” make, with 14 ct. gold nib ; a pair of gentlemen’s black leather shoes, “ Made expressly for D. & A. Campbell, Limited,” stamped on inner walls; and a pair of double-sighted spectacles, light silver rims and arms, made by Balfour and Irvine, Limited, Auckland : total value, £l4 ss. 6d. Spectacles only identifiable.

Between the 14th and 18th April last, from the launch “ Kereru ” moored off the Curren Street beach, the property of WILLIAM ROGERS, 13 Ponsonby Terrace, a new single roarer Primus; a three- battery wirelessset, “ McCabe make ” stamped on chassis, cabinet set with one Volta C battery and two new Volta B batteries bound with insulation tape : total value, £6 14s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 7th May last and Ist ultimo, a cottage at Hastings Street, Laingholm, the property of WILLIAM HENRY GLIBBERY, 27 Nixon Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A pair of double sheets marked “ L.G.” in marking ink; and a telescope, about 30 in. long when shut and about 36 in. when opened, “ E. F. Boyes ” on base when extended, brass pull-out with leather cover, made by “ Ross and Golland, London,” branded on telescope : total value, £l6 ss. Identifiable.

Rotorua.— loth ultimo, from a room in Brent’s Boardinghouse, the property of DOROTHY QUEENIE ROGERS, a ladies’ 15 ct. gold ring, set with a cluster of eight or nine diamonds in platinum setting, the ring is small and is similar to Illustration No. 85 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6, with the exception that complainant’s ring has plain shoulders ; value, £2O. Gisborne. —Between the 28th and 29th ultimo, a shed, the property of the Gisborne Harbour Board, was broken into and the following stolen : Two cases of Hennessys’ Three Star brandy, twelve quart bottles in each case, the cases are marked “ D.J.B. Q 46 lbs., Produce of France, Jas. Hennessy, Cognac, and hand with battle-axe,” value, £l2, not identifiable, the property of D. J. Waiboa. —loth May last, the property of THOMAS MAHANGA, Nuhaka, a a colonial made English pattern hunting saddle, hogskin seat, pads, and facings, nickel stirrupirons ; and a bridle made of home-cured cowhide, with nickel-plated bit: total value, £9 ss. Identifiable. Complainant’s horse, was left in a yard in Carroll Street, and it was subsequently discovered on the roadside near by without t he saddle and bridle.

Wairoa. -On the 25th May last, from a hut, the property of PETER DRUZIANICH, Marine Parade, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting Swiss lever watch, main spring broken; a brass curb watch-chain; and a 9 ct. gold sovereign-case, with “K. Tappery ” engraved on it: total value, £1 15s. Identifiable.

Eltham. On the 4th instant, a shop, the property of the CUT RATE PROVIDERS, LTD., Bridge Street, was broken into and the following stolen : Two navy-blue flannel shirts, size 6, branded “ C.R.P.” on neck; a pair of tan rubber shoes, size 8 ; and a pair of black rubber shoes, believed to be size 9, each pair stamped “ A /E—P over L ” on inside; a gentlemen’s grey suit, size 4 ; several pairs of socks, woollen underpants, &c.; and £8 14s. 2d. in money: total value, £l3 15s. 9d. Between the 16th and 23rd ultimo, the dwelling of EDWARD PHILLIP PARK VAUGHAN, farmer, Makirikiri, was broken into and the following stolen: A gentlemen’s silver hunting Depres watch, “ E.F.H.V.” or “ E.F.V.” engraved on front, “ Depres, Bristol,” stamped on dial, similar to Illustration No. 2 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 1 ; an open curb silver watch-chain, graduated to ends, similar to Illustration No. 24 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; three golf clubs, Nos. 2,3, and 4, stainless steel, R.C.A. model, “ Made in Scotland ” engraved on heads ; and a golf club, (driver), with binding on shank frayed : total value, £26 7s. 6d. Identifiable.

Wanganui. Between the 13th and 14th January last, the property of ERNEST HECTOR GRATTAN CURRIN, a •22 calibre single-shot Stevens Favourite rifle, No. 67 ; value, 10s. Identifiable.
