Memorandum.] Inquests : Mining Fatalities. Attention is directed to the provisions of section 33 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1934, which is in substitution of section 298 of the Mining Act, 1926, and that section is accordingly repealed. The section 33 referred to is identical with section 146 of the Coal Mines Act, 1925. Attention is to be paid to the necessity of Inspectors of Mines being present at inquests on mining fatalities and to the duty of constables under subsection (7) not to summon as a juryman any disqualified person.
