Auckland. 2oth December last, on warrant for theft of £1 18s. 5d., the property of Ernest Merz, manager, Bertschy Trading Company, 159 Queen Street, Harold Armitage, alias Farrell, age about thirty-four, height 5 ft. 9 in., traveller and salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh tanned complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, military moustache, well dressed in a dark suit and bowler hat, and wears spats ; plausible manner. Accused, who was country traveller for the above-mentioned firm, received a cash order to the amount of £1 18s. sd. and failed to account for it to his employers. He left this Dominion by the s.s.“ Monowai ” for Australia on the 12th ultimo. There are other charges pending.

Whilst employed on a milk-round he collected 9s. 9Jd. from customers, and failed to account for it to his employer. There are other charges pending.
