SPECIAL NOTICE.

Concealment of Birth. Auckland.— About 4.25 p.m. on the 27th ultimo, the dead body of a new-born female European child was found in Short Street. The body was wrapped in a piece of brown paper on which was written in pencil “ Mr. J. Jones, Westport,” and enclosed in a Supplement of the “ New Zealand Herald ” of 15th July, 1033. A post-mortem examination revealed that there were no marks of violence, and that the remains were those of a full-term still-born child, which had been born probably about twelve hours previously to the discovery of the body. Any information regarding the parentage of the child is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Auckland.
