Rotorua. Between the 30th May last and 21st ultimo, a cottage at Ngongotaha, the property of THOMAS TYNE and another, was broken into and the following stolen : A Spinnacher silk tent, size 9 ft. by 9 ft., small repair in back wall, top painted green; two military ground-sheets, “ May Tyne ” in indelible pencil on one ; and a quantity of bedding, cooking utensils, &c. : total value, £7l. Between the 27th and 28th ultimo, the shop of LLOYDS LTD., drapers, Marton, was broken into and the following stolen : A fawn Petone rug, with blue, white, and orange checks ; and £l3 11s. 6d. in money : total value, £l4 11s. fid. Not identifiable. The strong-room was opened by means of explosives, and greyish-green plasticine was found near the strong-room door.

Blenheim. Between the 21st and 29th April last, from the Showgrounds, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), two dandy-brushes; a white linen pillow-slip; six grey blankets; three heavy leather stable headstalls; four leather head bridles ; four brown saddle-blankets ; a red web-girth ; a leather girth ; seven leather bridle-reins ; six canvas nose-bags ; a hurricane lamp ; and a palliasse : mostly all branded “N. arrow Z.” and “ N.Z.D.” : total value, £lO os.
