Gd. cash from Roy Jarvis Deare, boot-importer, Devon Street, by means of a valueless cheque for £lO 10s., to which the signature “G. Waterson ” had been forged. The photograph of Ernest Robert Murray, referred to in Police Gazette, 1932, page 84, has been identified as that of the offender. Murray had been employed by George Waterson, farmer, Mokau, and his description accords with that of the man referred to in preceding paragraph, who obtained the cheque-book from the bank. He may be accompanied by George Cameron, referred to in preceding paragraph. .
