Suspicion is attached to Algernon James Kennington Johnson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1931, page 684; wearing a double-breasted navyblue overcoat, and grey felt hat. Suspect, who is a son of complainant, disappeared after the money was stolen.

On the 24th April, 1926, the rifle was registered at Stratford by JOSEPH CLAUDE DOBBS, who now states that he never possessed a rifle, and has no knowledge of ever having registered one. Inquiries are to be made with a view to tracing the rifle.
