Auckland. Between the 25th and 29th ultimo, the dwelling of ANNIE CLAPHAM, 45 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ -hoop gold ring, set with five sapphires in claw setting; an electric iron ; a fawn and red travelling-rug; two pairs of cream curtains; a ladies’ two-piece woollen bathing-costume, green with yellow stripes ; a brown fibre cane attache- ; and a ladies’ dark-blue felt hat, with blue and white band: total value, £l2 16s. 6d. New Plymouth. —Between the 14th and 15th instant, the store of REGINALD CAVANAGH STANTON, Omata, was broken into and the following stolen : A quantity of cigarettes and tobacco, assorted brands; a pair of gentlemen’s tan shoes, Selectra make, size 7 ; a pair of gentlemen’s tan shoes, O’Brien Bros, make; a pair of ladies’ tan leather slippers; several tins of jam; about £4 in money; a quantity of tea, butter, &c. : total value, £27 6s. lOd. Portion identifiable. A small dark motor-car (probably a Baby Austin or Morris Minor) was apparently used the offenders.

Wellington. —l6th September last, from a boat at Evans Bay, the property of BRITANNIA SEA SCOUTS, a white canvas rectangular marquee, about 20 ft. by 15 ft., with 8 ft. walls ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Between the 31st October last and Ist ultimo, from a room in the Hotel Cecil, the property of WINIFRED WATSON, an eight-day travelling clock, about 3 in. in diameter, in a pinkish-red leather case, with “ H.H.” in black letters stamped on it; value, £7. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Fraser, age about forty, height 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes; wearing a grey suit and felt hat; untidy appearance.

vWellington. —On the 17th ultimo, the dwelling of GEORGE SNADDON, 8 Thane Street, Roseneath, was broken into and the following stolen: Six E.P.N.S. fish knives and forks, with mother-of-pearl handles, in brown and fawn mottle case; a gold narrow band bracelet, set with dark-blue or purple stone; a gold band engagement ring, cross-over style, set with a ruby between two diamonds ; a gold band ring, set with four or five opals ; a gold narrow band ring, set with a small ruby; a gold Indian wheat-style muff-chain, about 14 in. long, gold bar on end, with gold medal the shape of Victoria Cross, with“ Won byG. Snaddon, N.Z. Bowling Association, 1901,” on it attached; a portion of a 14 ct. gold curb-chain, about 12 in. long, with round medal attached, on which is inscribed “ The Northern Bowling Association, 1902, G. Snaddon ” : total value, £l7 15s. Identifiable.

Wellington. 2nd instant, from a telephone-box in Boulcott Street, the property of DOREEN KENNEDY, 37 Rimu Road, a brown imitation-leather purse, envelope shape, clip on front missing; a gold Omega oblong wristletwatch, No. 7533847, with black ribbon wristlet attached ; and about 6s. 6d. in money : total value, £l3 10s. 6d.
