Auckland. —14th instant, from the rear of the General Post-office, the property of ALFRED THOMAS, a B.S.A. motor-cycle, registration No. 11-100, engine No. 1331, frame No. 2494, 0.H.V., two-port exhaust, chromium plating on benzine-tank and exhaust-pipes ; value, £4O. Identifiable.

New Plymouth. — Some time in 1929 ERIC ANDREWS lost a rifle in the bush at Waipori Power-station near Dunedin. Description : '22 calibre single-shot Bayard, No. 39153, made in Belgium j value, £3. Identifiable,

Wanganui. — the 7th and Bth instant, from a motor-garage at 46 College Street, the property of ERNEST DORRELL BENNETT, a Slazenger tennis racquet, “ Paterson ” and “ Strung by J. L. Beer, Waverley ” stamped on it; and 6 gallons of benzine : total value, £B. Racquet identifiable.

Petone. About 1925, from a hut at Wainui-o-mata, the property of HENRY CHARLES DIBLEY, 12 Kiwi Street, a '303 Lee Enfield rifle, No. 3151 A; value, £3. Identifiable.

Wellington. — About the 3rd ultimo, from 85 Riddiford Street, the property of AMY GORDON EGGINTON, an 18 ct. gold wedding ring ; a gold ring, set with a diamond in claw setting ; an 18 ct. gold ring, set with a diamond in claw setting; and a gold medal, with “ P.J.” engraved on front, “ 3 miles cycle race ” engraved on back : total value, £2B. Wellington. Between the 13th and 15th August last, from a shed in Beauchamp Street, Karori, the property of ROBERT JAMES MUNN, 16 Sutherland Crescent, and another, a panel-saw ; a crosscut-saw ; a brace ; a hammer ; and square (recovered) ; a Stanley level; a Stanley iron jack-plane a Stanley wooden jack-plane a wooden smoothing plane ; a wooden German jack-plane ; a white canvas-roll, containing bits ; an oil-stone ; six chisels ; a Disston Victory 115 crosscut-saw, with rosewood handle; a Disston Victory 115 rip-saw; a Spear and Jackson 171 a crosscut-saw; two white canvas tool-kits, with leather bottoms and handles, &c. (some of the tools branded “ R. Munn ” and “ R. F. Cox ”) : total value, £25. Identifiable.

Christchurch. Between the sth and 6th instant, the warehouse of the NEW ZEALAND COFFEE AND SPICE CO., 323 Durham Street, was broken into and a large quantity of tobacco and cigarettes of assorted brands stolen : total value, £9O 15s. 9d. Not identifiable.

Christchurch. — Between the sth and Bth instant, from the shop of J. BALLANTYNE AND CO., Colombo and Cashel Streets, a ladies’ natural-grey squirrel fur coat, full length, gathered roll collar, semi-barrel cuffs worked into sleeves, lined with pale-grey crepe, with embroidered border; value, £l3l ss. The total value of the stolen jewellery is £I,OOO, but most of it was found in possession of Gordon Webb Hazeldine, referred to in Police Gazette, 1932, page 588, who has been arrested for the offence. It is believed that he had an accomplice, who may be in possession of the unrecovered jewellery described above.
