Auckland. —sth ultimo, from the shop of the WHOLESALE CLEARING HOUSE, 42 Karangahape Road, a ladies’ fawny-grey flank musquash fur coat, full length, 43 in., with floral silk lining; value, £l3 13s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Woman (name unknown), age about twenty, height sft. 4 in., medium build, fair complexion and hair; wearing a tangerine and brown jumper, brown skirt, brown shoes and stockings.

Auckland.— the 30th ultimo and 3rd instant, the dwelling of ANNIE ELIZABETH BALL, 15 Percival Parade, Herne Bay, was broken into and the following stolen : A portable gramophone, Guppa make ; a large leather suit-case, with “ E.H.8.” or “E. H. Ball” on it; eight fish-knives; seven fish-forks, with ivory or pearl handles ; six tea-spoons ; a ladies’ heather-coloured spotted overcoat ; a pair of ladies’ black brocade shoes, size 6 ; and a small table clock, in black leather folding-case: total value, £ls. A. 543011, 555999, 556000; a Players’ gold wristlet- watch, with brown leather wrist-strap ; and £1 6s. in money : total value, £4 16s. Identifiable except money.

Onehunga. 26th July last, the property of LOUIS ARNOLDSON, 'farmer, Westney Road, Mangere, a pedigree Fresian heifer, age two years, large udder, branded No. “ 18 ” on right rump, black with white back and belly, four white legs with black points, due to calve at time of theft ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Hamilton. 3rd June last, from a room in the Hamilton Hotel, the property of ALLAN WINSTONE, Claude Road, Epsom, a Zeiss-Ikon camera, Karl Zeiss lens, size 120, Nos. F. 4-5 Nr. 1135357 P. 80556 printed on lens, double extension bellows ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Wanganui. — sth instant, the property of the WANGANUI RIVER SERVICES, LTD., a leather mail-bag (recovered), containing a letter addressed to “ Manager, Houseboat, Wanganui River,” enclosing an account; and £32 3s. sd. in money. Not identifiable.

Between the 7th and Bth instant, a billiard-room, the property of JAMES CAMPBELL, George Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A mirror, with dark-stained frame, round top, size 21 in. by 18 in. ; a Spartan Junior table model valve wireless-set; and a coloured roller-towel : total value, £25. Identifiable.

Wellington. —22nd June last, from 229 Willis Street, the property of THOMAS HAYES, a gentlemen’s fawn-brown suit, size 4; a blade razor, “Ern ” make, black handle, which is broken ; and an “ Onoto ” fountain-pen, with “ T.H.” on gold band : total value, £6 12s. 6d. Portion identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Fordue (name probably fictitious), age about forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., engineer, native of New Zealand, strong build, pale complexion, light-brown hair brushed across bald patch, greenish-grey eyes, artificial teeth, prominent nose; wearing a fawn suit, grey cardigan, and soft felt hat, or navy-blue trousers and heather-coloured coat; very talkative, and winks one eye ; talks freely about being employed at a sawmill in the King-country. The suspect occupied the same room as complainant, and on the date the offence was committed left without paying his board. Perpetual Forests, Ltd., P.O. Box 672, Auckland,” containing a £5 note on the bank of New Zealand, No. 391193; a registered packet, addressed to “Gilmore Oil Coy. (New Zealand), Ltd., P.0.80x 374, Auckland,” containing a cheque for £l2 ss.
