National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932 : Saving Rights, of Contributors to the Superannuation Fund.

It is evident that some contributors to the Public Service Superannuation Fund who elected under the provisions of the Finance Act, 1931, to continue to contribute to the fund on the salary received by them, or on the basis of which they were contributing on the 31st day of March, 1931, and who desire to continue to contribute on this basis, are of the opinion that an election made under the 1931 Act holds good, notwithstanding the reduction in salary brought about by the operation of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932.

This is not correct. A further election must be made. Contributors to the Superannuation Fund are requested to read carefully the memorandum on this subject which has been published in Police Gazette, 1932, page 334. . A reminder is given that elections must reach the Secretary to the Superannuation Board not later than the 30th day of September, 1932. R. S.
