Auckland. Between the 15th and 16th ultimo, the dwelling of WILLIAM ALFRED ELWARTH, 67 Vauxhall Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A navy-blue serge suit, size 3, branded “ H. 8.,” burn on left shoulder ; a dark-brown leather wallet, size 3 in. by 3 in., and about £ll 10s. in money : total value, £l6 17s. Identifiable except money.

Huntly. —Between the Ist and 2nd instant, the premises of JOHN THOMAS BECK, storekeeper, Ohinewai, were broken into and the following stolen : Six towels ; thirty-six pairs of socks ; an alarm-clock, Tambouril make ; two Flic razors ; two Japanese hand-worked supper-cloths and serviettes; eight Japanese hand-worked tray-cloths ; a pair of hairbrushes in box, with porcupine on lid ; two brown leather watch-cases; a number of safety razors and blades; a quantity of tobacco, &c.: total value, £l3. Portion identifiable.

Huntly. Between the Bth and 11th ultimo, from a transformer-shed, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Public Works Department), a calico tentfly, size 12 ft. by 14 ft., branded “ P.W.D.” ; value, £l. Identifiable.

Hamilton. — the 27th and 28th March last, from a motor-car at 95 Ulster Street, the property of JAMES STANLEY FYFEE CLEMETT, farmer, Ruakiwi, a polo jersey ; two pairs of polo trousers ; and a jockey’s outfit (recovered) ; a brown leather suit-case, size 34 in. by 15 in., with “ Varney, Outfitter ” on inside ; a leather collar-box ; a blue serge suit, with “ E. Fort ” on hanger ; a gold-mounted whip, with “ J. S. F. Clemett, Bracelet, Cambridge ” inscribed on it; a grey overcoat, with darn in sleeve ; and a quantity of gentlemen’s underclothing : total value, £4O. Identifiable. LORRIGAN, 4 Bond Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland, a Hawaiian guitar, six strings, “ Real* Hawaiian Guitar” stamped on inside; and a black fibre case, size about 36 in. long ; value, £7. Identifiable! Suspicion is attached to Claud Wi K a wars a, alias Harry Tipuna, referred to in Police Gazette, 1932, page 64, and Photographs, 1930, page 37. He has been interviewed but no evidence resulted.

Te Awamutu. —Bth ultimo, from the shop of HORACE RENTON, tailor, Sloane Street, about 9 yd. of blue Indigo serge, every three yards branded with a sheep in gold ; value, £6 10s. Not identifiable. The former called on complainant to have a button sewn on his coat, and it was during that timed hat the serge was stolen.

Hawera. Between November, 1931, and January last, the property of JAMES RARITY YOUNG, 47 Bell Street, Wanganui, a -44 calibre six-chambered revolver, Spanish make, marked “ Gerate Arretua Y nd Eban Espana ” ; value, £2. Identifiable.

Wellington.— Between the 13th and 14th March last, from the dwelling of RAYMOND VICTOR SHREEVE, 4 Port Street, a gentlemen’s gold watch-chain, fine links, with an 18 ct. gold masonic emblem attached; a rolled-gold pencil, with “R. Shreeve ” engraved on it; and about £l4 in money : total value, £l9. Identifiable except money.

Greymouth.— TENNAT’S shop broken into: Referred to in Police Gazette, 1930, pages 748 and 763. Lionel George Hood and John Joseph Morris convicted for receiving stolen property, vide Police Gazette, 1932, page 190. It has now been ascertained by the Greymouth police that offenders had most of the stolen jewellery concealed, and they may now attempt to dispose of it.

Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to -James Kirkman, age forty-nine, height 5 ft. 7 in., gardener, native of New Zealand, slight build, ruddy complexion, grey hair, blue eyes.
