Circular No. 5/1932.] Wrestling Contests. Where a recognized wrestling association affiliated to the Dominion of New Zealand Wrestling Union is established, permits to conduct wrestling contests are to be issued only on application by that associationthat is to say, if a second wrestling association, club, or other body is formed in the same town or place where a recognized affiliated wrestling association is already in existence, and the new association, club, or other body wishes to stage contests, it will have to apply for a permit through the affiliated association, which will be expected to properly control the contest. Memorandum.] Collection of Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics. With reference to memorandum published in Police Gazette of 13th ultimo (page 249), the following further communication received from the Assistant Government Statistician is published for the attention of those members of the Force to whom it applies. Further to my memorandum of the 9th April, a copy of which you advised was published in the Police Gazette, it now appears that the requirements of this Office expressed therein are not being observed in many cases. To enable vouchers to be prepared in accordance with the provisions of the legislation governing wages-tax and salary cuts, it is necessary for sub-enumerators, on completing the work in their respective districts, to furnish the following particulars to the Census and Statistics Office : (1) Actual (or approximate) number of holdings, if any, for which returns were received during the month of April. (2) Actual *(or approximate) number of holdings, if any, for which returns were received on or after the Ist May. I shall be giad if you will kindly arrange to notify these requirements to Police officers engaged in the collection of agricultural and pastoral statistics through the medium of the Police Gazette.
