Between the 24th and 28th ultimo, the dwelling of FRANCIS WILLIAM BRABANT, 2 Ladies Mile, Remuera, was-broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ gold Swiss wristlet-watch, with expanding wristlet; two gold studs; a ladies’ gold oval brooch, hole in centre and pin at back; and a gentlemen’s silver-mounted umbrella: total value, £ll 10s. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height 5 ft. 10 in., slight build, sharp features; wearing a lightcoloured overcoat and grey felt hat.

Suspicion is attached to Fred Wicks (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., clerk, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair ; wearing a dark-grey suit (no hat).
