Auckland. 2sth ultimo, from the dwelling of LANCELOT HOLMES DICK, milkman, 6 Gladstone Road, Northcote, £6. Suspicion is attached to John Alexander Morris, age twentyone, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, curly dark hair, brown eyes ; dressed in a blue suit (no hat). The suspect had been previously employed by the complainant.

Petone. — the night of the 11th instant, the warehouse of the CANADIAN KNIGHT AND WHIPPET CO., motor-car importers, was broken into and the following stolen : A green Tungar battery-charger, size about 18 in. by 10 in.; eight six-volt U.S.L. car-batteries; and two black twelve-volt car-batteries, with six white caps : total value, £79 10s. Identification doubtful.
