UNCLAIMED PROPERTY.
Rotorua. —Inquiries are to be made to establish the ownership of the following articles, which were found in possession of William Davies and Sidney Davies, alias Davis, who were convicted of stealing them (vide Police Gazette, 1932, page 56) : A gentlemen’s navy-blue Defiance raincoat, with striped check lining, belt attached, and a heavy woollen rug, with orange and dark-green stripes and squares on one side and stripes on the other side.
Wellington. lnquiries are to be made to establish the ownership of the property described hereunder, for the theft of which Mervyn John Cudby, referred to in Police Gazette, 1928, page 663, has been convicted : About thirteen yards of floral cretonne ; six pairs of bloomers ; two ladies’ grey cotton pinafores; a white silk blouse ; three white silk and pink underskirts; two brown Bruce woollen jumpers; a pair of socks ; fifteen white handkerchiefs, with “M ” in markingink on each ; two pairs of ladies’ grey and pink garters ; two pairs of ladies’ white canvas shoes, with rubber soles : two white tea-towels ; two ties ; six pink combs ; twenty-five collar-studs ; a No. 2 folding Brownie camera, No. 413329 ; a torch ; a Henley’s Twentieth Century Book of Recipes, Formulas, and Processes ; a Nuttall’s Encyclopedia; an Automobile Engineer’s Pocket-book by 11. Kerr Thomas ; a box of ivorine counters ; two ladies’ wool and cotton Kea singlets; and several bottles of lavender water. Cudby stated that the property was in a suit-case with “ 8.M.” on it, which he stole from outside Lambtoiy Railway-station about the middle HkU. l?/6/3 NT
