On the night of the 7th instant a Morris Minor sedan motor-car (registration No. 15-887, engine No. 31548, chassis No. 30694, painted dark-brown with black mudguards, the property of SHORTERS RENTAL CARS, Auckland) was stolen from Rotorua, and it is surmised that the offenders committed both offences.

Between the 16th July last and 24th ultimo, the dwelling of MARGARET CURRIE WATT, Stafford Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ gold engraved hunting watch; a gold ring with a square buckle on it, set with four small diamonds and three opals; six bottles of wine; a number of books; &c. : total value, £ll 16s. 6d. Dunedin. —Between the 28th and 29th August last, from the dwelling of JAMES WALQUIST, 45 Moreau Street, St. Kilda, a gentlemen’s open-face silver Omega watch, No. 4257180 ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to complainant’s brother, Alexander Walquist, age about forty-four, height about 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair turning grey, broken nose. If located he is to be interviewed regarding the offence.

Dunedin. —Between the 17th and 24th October last, from a boat-shed at Broad Bay, the property of HARRY MANNIX NEES, 130 Cannington Road, a triangular yacht-sail, size 15 ft. by 23 ft., Egyptian yacht duck texture, composed of twelve strips, about ten piston-type brass spring clips on wired edge, “Head and Geona ” stencilled on top, “ Ratsey and Lapthorne, Sailmakers, Cowes, 1930” on bottom corner; value, £l6.
