PERSONS WANTED.

Auckland. —7th instant, that he may be interviewed regarding a bicycle which he left on the 3rd August last at Robertson’s Auction Mart, to be sold, W. Dawson, age about twenty -five, height 5 ft. 2 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, curly fair hair; slovenly appearance. He represented to the auctioneer at the mart that the bicycle was his own property, whereas in fact he owed £8 7s. 9d. on it to the Farmers’ Trading Co., Auckland, from whom he obtained it on a hire-purchase agreement.

Auckland.2Bth August last, on warrant for theft of a typewriter (recovered), value £9, the property of Emily Bloxham Nutting, boardinghouse -keeper, 6 Shelly Beach Road, David Reuben Wilson, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 6 in., salesman, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, wavy fair hair, blue eyes ; well dressed in a reddish-brown or blue suit (no hat). McLeod, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 3 in., strong' build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue birthmark on 1/fmttoo-marks on one arm ; dressed in a darlvsmt, white cardigan^jacket, sid fawn felt hat ; Scotch accer/7/Iu may b<Hddjitical with Donald McLeod, referred to in Police Gazette, 1 page 6337 Accused sold to a second-hand dealer at Waihi the saddle and bridle, which, with the horse, he had borrowed from complainant. Unsuccessful attempts were made by him to sell the horse. He also obtained 10s. 6d. from Annie Thorpe, by falsely representing that he wanted to get his swag from Paferoa. No warrant. Ngaruawahia.— C. Conder, alias Leonard William Jones, false pretences : It has been ascertained by the Wellington police that he left Auckland on the 11th August last by the s.s. “ Niagara ” for Sydney. He travelled by the name Hugh Andrew McFarlane. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 659.)

Hastings. —6th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Harriet Fiske, William Fiske, age about fifty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of England, slight build, fresh complexion, grey hair going bald, hazel eyes ; dressed in a grey suit, and was in possession of/a soldier’s kit-bag ; erect ait - /frveotvf Z3//z/%/'

Hastings. —Between the 27th ultimo and the 11th instant, on warrant for theft of a pair of shoes and a . white double blanket (recovered); and a gentlemen’s rolled-gold Swiss lever wristlet-watch, No. 39071, fifteen jewels, “ 352 ” scratched on inside : total value, £3 10s., the property of Harry Greene, horse-trainer, Karamu Road, George Cuthbert Turnbull, alias “ Chow ” Turnbull, referred to in Police Gazette, 1927, page 758, and Photographs, 1922, page 107. Accused was staying in complainant’s whare when he stole the articles. He sold the shoes and blanket to a second-hand dealer. Wanganui. loth instant, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of abode (Arms Act) may be instituted against him, Louis Leslie Robertson, freezing-works hand. On the 28th June, 1921, he registered a six-chambered Webley revolver, No. 362962, and was granted a certificate qf registration, No. 105795. Jit^

Wellington. 9th instant, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probationary license, Edgar Edward Vigers, referred to in Police Gazette, 1931, page 71, and Photographs, 1921, page 52. His license has been cancelled, and his return to the nearest prison is desired. No action is to be taken after the 24th September, 1932. (P. 31/1486.) Z 3/^/3/
